What an extraordinary project - the impressive RACV Cape Schanck Resort sitting atop a “monolith” of Castlemaine Country Blend Walling. The shear magnitude is breathtaking - like a star ship landed on a mountain top.
Over 900 cubic meters of Country Blend walling stone was installed piece by piece by a large team of stone masons to produce almost 3,000 square face metres of wall. That’s 45 truck and trailer loads to put it into perspective.
And then there was the paving - just over 1,500m2 of paving went onto balconies, walkways and alfresco dining areas around the site. Achieving this level of production at the quarry was no mean feat. But the team pulled it off and the result speaks for itself.
